In ‘Collected Memories’, Rabia Minkailova documents the hoarding disorder of her father, Yusup. Growing up in war and poverty in Chechenya, Yusup had to abandon his dream of becoming an engineer. Nevertheless, he developed an extraordinary talent for construction.

The documentary reveals the impact of his hoarding disorder, rooted in his traumatic childhood, and shows how his obsession with collecting materials became a therapeutic outlet. Despite the lack of formal education, Yusup's natural building talents are manifested in beautiful creations.

‘Collected Memories’ is a tribute to resilience, perseverance, and the unexpected beauty that arises from a life full of challenges.
